Health Guarantee

Golden Fur Friends, we take immense pride in the health, well-being, and longevity of the puppies we breed. Our primary goal is to ensure that every puppy we place in a new home is happy, healthy, and ready to become a cherished member of your family. That’s why we offer a comprehensive health guarantee to give you peace of mind when you adopt one of our Golden Retrievers.

Our Health Guarantee:

We guarantee that every puppy we sell will be in good health at the time of adoption and will have passed a thorough veterinary health check before leaving our facility. This includes confirmation that the puppy is free of infectious diseases and that they have received the necessary vaccinations and deworming treatments required for their age.

Our health guarantee covers the following:

  1. Genetic Health Guarantee
We offer a two-year genetic health guarantee against any serious, genetic health defects that are common in the breed, including but not limited to:

    • Hip Dysplasia
    • Elbow Dysplasia
    • Heart Disorders
    • Eye Disorders

If your puppy is diagnosed with a covered genetic condition within the first two years of life, we will offer you the following options:

    • A replacement puppy from a future litter of your choice, at no additional cost.
    • A refund of the purchase price of your puppy, subject to the terms of the guarantee and diagnosis.

We work with experienced veterinarians and health professionals to ensure that all breeding dogs undergo thorough genetic screening to reduce the risk of inherited health problems.

  2. Health Check at Adoption
All of our puppies receive a veterinary health exam before they leave our facility to ensure they are in perfect health. This includes:

    • A complete physical examination.
    • Up-to-date vaccinations (as per the puppy’s age).
    • Deworming treatments (as needed).
    • Flea and tick prevention.

You will receive a health certificate from our vet at the time of adoption that outlines the treatments and vaccinations your puppy has received. This ensures that your new puppy is ready for their new life with you.

  3. Immediate Health Concerns
If your puppy shows any signs of serious illness within the first 72 hours of arrival at your home (such as lethargy, vomiting, or diarrhea), we strongly recommend seeking immediate veterinary care. If a serious, life-threatening health issue is diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian within the first 72 hours, we will assist in the return of the puppy and offer a replacement puppy or a full refund based on the situation.

  4. Exclusions and Limitations
While we stand behind the health of our puppies, there are a few things not covered by our health guarantee:

    • Normal developmental conditions: Minor conditions such as minor illnesses or behaviors that are common in puppies (like teething, mild diarrhea due to diet change, etc.) are not covered.
    • Accidents or injury: Our guarantee does not cover health issues that arise from accidents, neglect, or injury.
    • Environmental factors: Conditions caused by environmental stress, improper care, or external factors are not covered.
    • Non-genetic health problems: Any illness or health condition that is not genetic in origin is not covered by the guarantee.
  5. Proper Care and Veterinary Documentation
To be eligible for any replacement or refund under this health guarantee, you must:

    • Provide proof that the puppy has been cared for appropriately and that the puppy’s vaccinations and veterinary care were kept up to date.
    • Ensure that your puppy has received regular veterinary care during the first two years of life, as required for the guarantee to remain valid.
    • Have your puppy checked by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of arrival for the initial health check.

Your Responsibility

We trust that all of our clients will provide their new puppy with the best care, nutrition, and environment possible. As a responsible pet owner, it is essential that you provide your puppy with the following:

  • Regular check-ups with a licensed veterinarian.
  • Proper nutrition and exercise.
  • A safe, loving, and well-maintained home.
  • Prompt treatment for any illnesses or injuries.

By doing so, you ensure that your puppy remains healthy and happy throughout their life.
